This is the Season One of the Afruturist Podcast, The Diary of The Hub Manager. I’m discussing with movers and shakers of African innovation and technology entrepreneurship.

Josiah Kwesi — CEO and Cofounder Ispace Ghana

Africa is the youngest continent in the world, with a median age of 18 years old. Out of the top 10 fastest growing economies in the world 6 are in Africa. The 15 fastest-growing cities worldwide are all in Africa and are set to double in size by 2035. I look at technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship as tools to leapfrog Africa’s socio-economic growth.

This is a conversation with Josiah Kwesi, CEO and Co-founder of Ispace Ghana, one of the leading innovation hubs in Ghana. Ghana is among the leading startup ecosystems in Africa. The country comes just after the top four Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt. I’m reflecting on Josiah’s lessons learned from the ecosystem and what are the next practical steps of the Ghanaian and African innovation ecosystem at large. We talked about different blocks of the ecosystems and how they interact.

This episode also shares interesting insight on the role of development partners in supporting the African innovation ecosystem. Where are they getting it right, and how they are messing up things sometimes.

Lets’s continue the conversation on Twitter @Afruturist

Enjoy Listening.
